My Bookshelf - want a book?

A meme

Got this from K.Lo...

My uncle once:

was a bad boy. He rode a motorcycle (but most Malay guys did and still do, because they want to be independent, footloose and fancy-free yet can't afford cars) and used to be very 'havoc'. Although he was adopted by my grandparents, he was their youngest child, so I think my grandma spoiled him a lot. Now, he's an ultra-stern father to five young kids. The irony always tickles me.

Never in my life:

have I lived outside my country.

When I was five:

I used to pretend I was Superman by tying a towel around my neck and pretend it was a cape.

High School was:

memorable.

I will never forget:

where I was and what I was doing each time when one of my grandparents passed away.

I once met:

4U2C. This Malay boyband which was so popular when I was a kid. Sometimes I cringe when I think about how obsessed I was over them.

There’s this girl I know who:

is dating an old man. I don't mean to be age-ist, but she's 19 and he's... in his 60's.

Once, at a bar:

...I have nothing to say about this. I can't recall ever being in one.

By noon I’m usually:

wishing I wasn't working.

Last night:

I watched Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom and relived my childhood for a bit.

If only I had:

a job that paid more!

Next time I go to church:

it would be to attend a wedding, hopefully.

Terry Schiavo:

how sad.

When I turn my head left, I see:

the padded wall of my cubicle. Thank God I prettied the spot by tacking a calendar of France on it!

When I turn my head right, I see:

gazillion stacks of book samples, proofs and jackets for me to go through and sort. *groan*

You know I’m lying when:

I told you I've been married before.

What I miss most about the eighties:

My childhood

If I was a character written by Shakespeare, I’d be:

Titania.

By this time next year:

hopefully I'll moved on in this company!

A better name for me would be:

nothing. I can't think of a better name. I've gotten used to mine.

I have a hard time understanding:

people who always say things they don't mean.

If I ever go back to school I’ll:

hopefully do better than I did previously.

You know I like you if:

I always email you long emails or send you messages on your cellphone out of the blue talking about nothing much in particular.

If I won an award, the first person I’d thank would be:

the one who'd always believed I could win the award. I would say God, but I don't consider Him a person.

Darwin, Mozart, Slim Pickens, and Geraldine Ferraro:

Meh, hmmm, who, who?

Take my advice, never:

sell yourself short.

My ideal breakfast is:

either nasi lemak or chicken porridge.

A song I love, but do not have is:

any one by Corneille.

If you visit my hometown, I suggest:

try all the food!

Tulips, character flaws, microchips, and track stars:

pretty, human, whatever, motivated

Why won’t anyone:

pay me to just write?

If you spend the night at my house, don’t:

move my things around without letting me know.

The world could do without:

Dubya

I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than:

take drugs.

My favorite blonde is:

Brad Pitt?

Paper clips are more useful than:

pen caps when you're fidgety and bored

If I do anything well, it’s:

a great feeling!

The last time I was drunk, I:

don't know. I've never been drunk.
