Quick recap
Hey, y'all. (Does that lack gravitas if it's said by a headscarf-clad Singaporean Muslim girl? Maybe, huh? ;-) ) Sorry again for the lack of updates. I'm recovered from the cold now. Thanks for the well-wishes, best regards and theories of how I came to develop a cold. When you're sick, you tend to be easily grateful for any attention. What I've been doing since the last entry, or stuff that has happened to me: - working
- recovering from my cold
- blogging, mainly for an audience of three - my friend and cousins
- attending my friends' weddings
- watched The Incredibles (finally). It was good, but not as good as Finding Nemo, I think.
- went through a medical examination. It was tough because I'm one of those weird people whose veins (from which to draw blood) are hard to find, and the clinic needed my blood sample. It took almost 1 1/2 hours before they can get a sample from me successfully, and TWO failed attempts with the syringe. So much pain, argh. And they wonder why people are so afraid of needles and blood. On the bright side, everything seems to be fine with me, health-wise. Yes, in spite of the whopping excess weight that I'm carrying on me.
- watched Ocean's 12. It was funny, but definitely not as good as the Ocean's 11. I felt as if I paid money just to ogle at Brad Pitt. Incidentally, I've just realised that I've had a crush on the man since I reached puberty. I don't know what to make of that. But back to the film, it was crappy writing (they should've stuck with the writer from 11) - only the strong cast and director's talent saved the show. But because the film was so reliant on that, they made it look as if Soderbergh was just indulging in his whims with this film. Bleh. I'm going to watch my Ocean's 11 DVD this weekend to erase my memory of Ocean's 12.
- bonded with my cousins and girlfriends
- Dad got us a digital camera. It's a basic one, but he strangely gets excited with gadgets that he will rarely use and then when something goes wrong leaves me to look into it.
And now, I have to go back to work. Hopefully being on leave from Friday onwards will make me more productive here. ;) But thanks for keeping the faith.
